Ace of Pentacles

Symbolism

The hand of God appears from a cloud offering a Pentacle representing opportunity, potential and maybe a new way of relating to your body.

This is a gift from spirit.

There is a beautiful garden with an archway leading out to distant mountains. This symbolises a safe space where we are and a gateway to venture out into more challenging experiences and growth.

The white lilies in the garden show the purity behind this offering and the higher vibration it brings to our lives.

Upright meaning

This Pentacle represents the divine gift of our body, our health, our work and wealth.  This Ace is an offer and opportunity from Spirit to embrace a brand new experience in life. It may be a new job or more wealth or simply a new personal practice. Either way, it can be life-changing. There is an offer on the table for new growth.

This Ace is especially likely to pop up when we feel grateful for what we have in life. Our deep gratitude attracts even more things to be thankful for. Thankfulness is like a magnetic emotion inviting more beautiful experiences into our lives. The opportunities represented by this Ace will bring us a greater sense of vitality, health and self-care. If we keep our minds open we will be ready to grab this opportunity with two hands.

The Pentacle represents our body that we are living in and using to move around in this 3-D world. We often overlook the gifts that our bodies are. It is a great time, when this card comes up for self-care. The more we learn to look after our body and treat it with reverence and respect, the greater our strength and health will be. The pentacle is also our relationship to money and wealth so let’s open our arms and allow a little more abundance in.

We need to feel the safety of where we are and the comfort of our environment and use this strong base as a platform from which to branch out and dare to discover something new and even more inspiring.

“Are we ready?” We may ask ourselves with a hint of doubt. If we weren’t, this card would not be here.

Reversed meaning

The Shadow of the Aces is grounded in fear. The Ace of pentacles may be the scariest of opportunities because the pentacles call for action and doing something new. Our bodies are comfortable in the known even when the known isn’t necessarily that comfortable. Our fears can create many reasons to deny opportunities that this card represents.

The beauty of this reversal comes with the potential healing within an experience that we are facing. Where there is s resistance to embracing such an amazing gift, there is also a strong trauma that may be mirrored from the past in whatever we are faced with. This is a great opportunity to face the inner child fears and practice forgiving and releasing the past to move on.

Just as the upright Ace is attracted with gratitude, the reversal highlights our lack of appreciation for what we have. We will superficially look for new experiences one after the other thinking that more is merrier. We never find satisfaction and we are always on the move. We become addicted to the new and miss the amazing reality in front of our faces. Practicing thankfulness will shift our reality and turn this Ace around.

This reversed Ace can also speak about when we are not quite ready to grab a new opportunity and we need a few more steps of preparation in order to really feel open. Maybe we haven’t finished something that we can’t quite walk away from yet. Perhaps we need to clear out any lingering doubts and fears that are making us hesitant. Make sure we can safely embrace this new offer without sacrificing our inner needs.
