XXII - THE WORLD
Symbolism
Here is a naked woman veiled loosely with a purple cloth, holding two wands. The two wands are her individual will and the divine will in harmony and balance.
She has an oval wreath symbolizing success and connection to a higher force. It is tied with two red lemniscates of infinite possibility. The four figures in the corners are the four elements in our lives. We are now fully aware of their potential. They are similar to those in the Wheel of Fortune but here, they have attained a level of enlightenment.
The Lion of the element fire is symbolically bigger than the other figures in this picture suggesting the importance of our creativity and connection to the light.

Upright meaning
The World is the end of the fools journey and his potential is manifest as reality. The individual will is aligned with the divine will and separation is replaced by the divine connection. Manifestation is fast when this card comes up and the alignment of heart with the mind is so powerful that our wishes come true and our thoughts turn into reality. We are naked for the last time though draped with the divine will.
This card is us living the moment and realizing our walking our walk. We are the messengers of light, truth, love and will. The World will come up when we don’t doubt ourselves but truly trust in who we are and our abilities to fulfil our purpose. It is a call to find that space of knowing our reality is exactly how we wish it to be. In this state of awareness, there is no wanting because we are in a blissful reality.
The World tells us to go for the life we know is our potential right. Our individual needs are being satisfied right now and we have the gift to dedicate our time to a bigger story and a higher truth. When we no longer need anything we become channels for the divine everything! We are in the state of flow, vibration is high and we can see the next phase of our journey!
The cake is right there, let’s eat it!
Reversed meaning
The World’s potential is still when reversed but there is a blockage stopping us from seeing it, reaching for it, trusting in it or believing in it. There is a program inside of us that makes us fall before the final hurdle or give up just as we are about to arrive. There may be a self-sabotage program from old trauma, blinding our vision from finding the last piece of the puzzle.
We may hold onto limiting beliefs that keep us small in order to protect us from standing out, from being seen, and from shining brightly. Our bodies feel safer inside a known reality that it understands even if this reality is limiting. Our souls want to stand up and be counted, and even though we may have made mistakes or been beaten down before, now is a great time to stay focussed and to shine.
One of the elements in the corners of the card could be repressed in some way and we may not be aligning ourselves with our goals. We may feel weaker on some level, whether emotional, mental, spiritual or physical. We may underestimate a strength that we genuinely have. It is useful to ask for help, get a coach and embody your greatness!
Although we feel unsatisfied with where we are, we are still in our comfort, ‘known’ zone and the world asks us to leap one last time like the fool at the beginning of the journey but this time armed with awareness. We are on the platform of the station readying ourselves to leave our home indefinitely. Now it is time to take that step, that leap, and to taste a new life that is waiting for us. It is time to finish what we came to finish. AMEN!
